My name is Fadeke (Fadz) Laoshe and I am 39 years old. I was born and raised in London but my family background is Nigerian. I have had various professions over the years, including working in the hospitality industry, the voluntary sector, the care industry and more recently in the mental health field and education. My first degree was in Mental Health Nursing and I spent the majority of my nursing career working in drug and alcohol addiction in East London.
About 10 years ago I moved to Italy where I worked in language schools as well as in nursery, primary and secondary schools teaching English as a second language. While in Italy I became involved with a Christian NGO called Missione Possibile (Mission Possible) through church. I went to visit their school in Cambodia in 2015 and also organised fund raising events for them. In 2016/2017 I went back to Cambodia and spent six months doing missionary work for them at their Primary and Secondary schools.
I moved to Edinburgh two years ago to study theology and I am currently doing an MSc in Biblical Studies through the university of Edinburgh.
In my free time I enjoy travelling, baking and learning new languages.
