The Church of Scotland Guild is a movement within the Church of Scotland which invites both men and women to express their faith in worship, prayer and action.

There has been a Guild in St Margaret’s since 1939 and we meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from October to March. Our meetings are held in the church hall and begin at 1pm. There is also an outing during the summer.

Our Guild meetings are varied from guest speakers giving information about Guild projects to musical evenings. Whatever the subject, there is always fellowship and a warm welcome followed by that all important cup of tea!

Come and join us.

Are you a bookworm? Well we have 2 book groups who meet on the last Tuesday of the month at 10am and the last Thursday at 10.30am in our church halls. Each group looks at a different book each month and we come together for lively discussion about the book.

Why not come and join us!

The Thursday Club is the social section of the Church.   It is open to all.   It is a fun group of sociable people.   We have games, quizzes and outings.

We usually meet the last Thursday of the month at 7.30p.m. unless otherwise stated.

St. Margaret's Foodbank is part of Leith Churches Foodbanks.

How to get help

Meets every Wednesday from 2 -4pm in the Hanlon Centre within the McLaren Halls. Anyone is welcome to come along and join us, to share their skills and learn new ones while enjoying a cuppa.

Everything we make is sold to raise funds for our church. The cost for this is £1 per week.

The Well is a fortnightly youth group open to 12-17 year olds. Our name comes from St Triduana's well located on church grounds! Together we explore issues of faith, justice, community, and current events! If you are in secondary school we would love to have you here! Contact Duncan for more details.

Messy Church is a place for children to laugh, play, create, and learn about the Christian faith in a welcoming atmosphere. This event is suitable for children in p1-p5 and their parents, who are welcome to stay for a cup of tea or coffee. We would love to see you and your child there!
